Rain Later, Good is an account of Peter's travels to all the sea areas of that national institution, the Shipping Forecast (yes, that was him on BBC2 television being seasick over the side of Newhaven lifeboat). Illustrated with 35 studio paintings and 32 sketches, the first edition of the book was adopted by the RNLI as the publication to celebrate their 175th anniversary. That original 1998 edition was reprinted twice
and in 2002 a revised and updated second edition was published to take into account the changes to sea area Finisterre. That edition was published under the Adlard Coles imprint in 2005 and reprinted the following year. The latest paperback edition has been redesigned and updated, with some new images and two new introductory chapters. 75p from the sale of each book will be paid in support of the RNLI.
